Transtar Travel Malaysia Singapore Express Bus

  14. What kind of service is this???? the coach suppose to depart at 1130am but ended up an hour late. Thus, the coach is not exactly as on the picture but with the normal buses and the journey took longer than it suppose to be. The worst case was, before reaching the destination, we have to change bus?? Is this the kind of service that is provided ????? Journey from KL to North…. pls do something …

  15. I’ve traveled with Transtar before from Singapore – KL and the service is good and reliable but that was back in 2004.
    I had a very bad experience by Transtar.

    nothing much to write about.

    my comments:
    1. No proper Pick up point, just at a busy road side at Menara Maybank.
    2. No numbered seat, first come first serve seating. (what’s the point giving out numbered seats ?)
    3. Not boarding on Transtar Coach, different from what you saw from the counter, posters, etc.
    4. Bad attitude of Driver and bus conductor.
    5. Delayed Journey.
    6. Drop off point is not where it’s stated. Instead of Golden Mile, it dropped off at Owen Street and I was lost.
    7. Not reliable and bad service.

    We pay for that amount of money and we get such terrible, horrible and lousy service ?

I would like to travel with transtar this coming november, from singapore to kl. i’ll be arriving changi airport at 9 pm, and probably be able to check out, custom check and bla2 .. at let say 10 pm.. am i be able to catch 11.30 bus. how long will it takes from airport to bus station. if i book online, will i get the e-ticket, is it safe .. coz hearing many comments that e-ticket was not co-relate with the ticket purchase at the counter. coz, i will arrive from sydney, there’s no way I could get myself a ticket from the counter.

  17. Agreed with Alvin. The Transtar coach was at least half an hour late and stopped at JB and KL to pick up passengers. Worse, the driver even wanted us to change coach halfway! Before that, the air con didn’t work well, we were all very stuffy inside the coach. Lousy service. Been to Malaysia many times on coach before, and never encountered such service before until the second time we took Transtar.

  18. The Transtar bus service is of very poor quality these days. Terrible bus company.

    Was better when it first started years ago, with new buses and good marketing, but now such a bad attitude on the part of the staff, especially driver and assistant. Last time I was on it, the assistant threw my bag, causing it to split open and just stood there, while another passenger helped me put things back in.

    At the counter in KL, the staff refused to tell me a telephone number for any KL cabs or even the telephone operator number, saying: “We don’t provide such service”. He insisted that I must take one of the overpriced taxis standing outside. The arrogance of these Transtar staff is matched by the rundown quality of the buses. Why do people still try to take this service? Must be they remember the marketing from before.

    Sorry for the next person who goes Transtar.

  19. I was Sexually assaulted while sleeping on a transtar travel bus from Singapore by the bus driver. When I ran out of the bus I noticed that he had also taken my cell phone.
    I called the Transtar office many times to complain and to get help. They never did anything, they never even called me back.

    Please stay away from this bus company they are criminals and do not care at all for your safety.

    I have to agree that you are definitely NOT getting the service or the quality that you expect to get for the premium price you pay to travel with Transtar. Firstly the quality of their bus is very very poor, I can’t believe how old and disgusting it was, all cushioning flattened, leather chair feels and look dirty, problems with video/audio media player, half a dozen people on the bus asked for exchange of headphones. We sat at the back of the bus and it smelt disgusting. I feel that we have been ripped off. They should not advertise thier busses as they do on their website and brochures if this is the true quality that you end up getting. Maybe we got an old bus, but we could have paid less than 1/3 the price for a nicer more comfortable couch.

    Never again.

    I am also sorry for the next person who goes on Transtar and is deceived by their marketing. First class my a#%^&.

  22. Was travelled with Transtar- 1st class Solataire- 18 seater..

    The Pasar Rakyat station is ulu.. not convenience..

    The bus end up delay for 35 min… without proper arrangement and explaination to passnger… Just wait without knowing what happening.

    so call 1st class…….. only for the price

    the buses do look real good on the pics, but if they are not the ones that are being used, then why charge so much??

  25. Yes. Agree with all of you above. The bus i taken last time is delay 1 hour.. and the thing made me angry is the attitude of the bus ticket collecter.. he requierd us to pay more since the bus is more ‘deluxe’.. some passangers do not want pay, he ask them to get down from bus.. what kind of service?? we are paid..but we still need get such ’shit’ service..5 stars buses.. never and ever.
