Special KTM Train Services For Thaipusam 2009

In conjunction with the Thaipusam celebration which falls on 8 February 2009, KTM Berhad will provide 98 special Thaipusam train services to cater for passengers from Sentul to Batu Caves from 7 to 9 February 2009.

The schedule is as follows:

From Sentul to Batu Caves
7 – 8 February 2009:
First Train 9.00 a.m
Last Train 3.55 a.m
Train Frequency every 50 minutes

8 – 9 February 2009
First Train 5.35 a.m
Last Train 2.25 a.m
Train Frequency every 50 minutes

From Batu Caves to Sentul
7 – 8 February 2009:
First Train 10.00 a.m.
Last Train 4.20 am
Train Frequency every 50 minutes

8 – 9 February 2009
First Train 6.00 a.m
Last Train 2.50 a.m
Train Frequency every 50 minutes

For tourists and devotees from Ipoh who would like to joint the festivities in Batu Caves, KTM Berhad will provide two extra services for its (Kuala Lumpur – Ipoh – Kuala Lumpur Shuttle) on 7 and 8 February 2009. Extra service from Ipoh will depart at 4.35 am while the train from Sentral KL will depart at 5.30 am.

In addition to the special Thaipusam train services, KTMB Berhad will also provide 36 additional KTM Komuter services which will commence after normal operating hours from 7 to 9 February 2009.

The schedule is as follows:

Rawang – Sentral KL – Rawang
From Rawang – 1.35 am
From Sentral KL – 4.22 am
Every 60 minutes

Seremban – Sentul – Seremban
From Seremban – 1.05 am
From Sentul – 4.10 am
Every 30 minutes

Pelabuhan Klang – Sentul – Pelabuhan Klang
From Pel. Klang – 1.05 am
From Sentul – 3.55 am
Every 30 minutes

Members of the public are advised to purchase the special Thaipusam Integrated Ticket (comprising KTM Komuter return ticket and special Thaipusam train ticket) at these stations to avoid long queues at the ticketing counter on their return journey:
