KTM Singapore - Kuala Lumpur

SINGAPORE - KUALA LUMPUR KTM TRAIN

3 Trains service the Kuala Lumpur - Singapore - Kuala Lumpur route each day. There’s a choice of 2 modern air-conditioned daytime trains or an overnight sleeper. KTM Singapore Station is in Keppel Road in East Singapore, nearest MRT station is Tanjong Pagar. The Kuala Lumpur KTM station is KL Sentral.

Ekspres Rakyat 8.20am Depart – 3:40pm Arrive
Ekspres Senaran Petang 1:00pm Depart – 8:20pm Arrive
Ekspres Senandung Malam 10:15pm Depart – 7:08am Arrive

Note: Departure from Singpore, the tickets will cost SGD instead of RM ( 1 SGD = 2.3 RM ). If time is not an issue, the better alternative is to take a bus to Johor Bahru train station (beside the Johor Bahru Immigration), and use RM to purchase the ticket.

Ekspres Malam: Sleeper bunks are only available for the overnight train service. Class available: Premier Night Deluxe, Standard Night, Second Class Sits, Economy


PREMIER NIGHT DELUXE

Only available for Ekspress Malam. Premier Night Deluxe Fare

KTM Deluxe Room

Each cabin is equipped with an individual controls for lighting, shower and toilet facilities, hair dryer, television set and baggage rack. Room amenities such as soap, towel, shaver, toothbrush and toothpaste are also provided.

KTM Deluxe Room

Upper deck and lower deck. Lower deck can be folded up so that it forms a chair for 2. Pillows and blankets provided. A simple packed meal, served in your compartment, is included in the fare.

KTM Deluxe Room

There is also a special rate for those travelling single and require one cabin to himself/herself. At only RM180 for the Stesen Sentral Kuala Lumpur – Singapore route, you can spend the travelling hours in comfort and complete privacy.


STANDARD NIGHT

Only available for Ekspress Malam. Standard Night Fare

Shared toilet located at the end of coach. Both upper and lower decks come with personal light at the side of the bunk. Lower deck has more space compared to the upper deck. Pillows and blankets provided.

Large seats. Free Drinks on board the train. Toilets located at end of the coach Television located at both end of coach.


SECOND CLASS SEATS & ECONOMY

Second Class Seats & Economy Fare

Not much difference between these two. Seats are a little smaller compared to Premier Class seats. Toilets are located at the end of the coach.

  2. I would like to find out if the premier night deluxe can accommodate 3 pax. I plan to travel from KL to Singapore on 1st March 2008 with my 2 children, 11 & 14 years old. How do I make the reservation and how much will the ticket cost.

  4. I understand that reservations are to be done 60 days in advance. But what if I wanted to book more than 60 days before my travel date? Is this possible?

    I read from the KTMB website that the e-ticket issued is a valid travelling ticket. Does this mean that I do not have to collect a proper ticket at the counter?

    Are meals provided for passengers in the premier, standard and economy seats?
