Shah Alam, Selangor

Shah Alam, Selangor’s state capital, is a modern township, clean and well planned. Two decades ago Shah Alam was just a rubber and palm plantation, but in the late 1970s a massive building program spawned a well-developed infrastructure, enormous public buildings and a rapid growing population. Shah Alam is proud to be home to the world’s only agro-forestry park, which is the green park of Bukit Cahaya.

Most of the sights are near the attractive central lake gardens, and you will definitely be impressed by the amazing architectural design of the state mosque, the Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, nick named the Blue Mosque for its blue aluminum dome covered in a rosette of verses from Qur’an.
