I was fortunate enough to stumble upon one of Georgetowns hidden gems that rarely gets mentioned on tourist websites & that is the Peranakan Mansion, I think this is a must see on any visit. The other tourist site that really caught my eye was the Kek Lok Si Temple & the giant buddha surrounded by a pagoda, this place is simply stunning. The nightlife was good too & I ventured out of Georgetown to the Queensbay area where I discovered a fantastic bar called Queens Bistro. The welcome I received was very warm & friendly & the live band were awesome, it had a large crowd in for a Wednesday night & I was informed if you want a seat at the weekends you have to enter before midnight! Another place I'd highly recommend. Penang truly is The Pearl Of The Orient.
