Malaysia Singapore Express Bus
Malaysia Singapore Express Bus
Each year, tens of thousand of travelers commute between Singapore and Malaysia destinations such as Kuala Lumpur (Genting Higlands), Penang, Maleka etc.Malaysia Singapore express bus service is popular with the people due to convenience and cost savings when compared to other alternatives such as KTM, air travel and driving.
With the current increase in fuel prices, EBAA Singapore had announced that with effect from 1 st December 2007, there will be an increase in Fuel and Insurance Charge (FIC) surcharges from $2SGD to $3SGD for a one-way ticket and from $3SGD to $5SGD for a two-way ticket for passengers departing from Singapore traveling in member’s express bus. This is applicable for all tickets purchased from its member companies. The FIC is implemented to cover Fuel Surcharge and Insurance protection to the passengers. Insurance protection is provided as a value-added service. In line with the FIC increase, the insurance protection will provide additional benefits and increase in sum insured to the passengers.
There are various classes of express bus services provided between Malaysia and Singapore (details might be different between express bus companies):
- Economy: Usually up to 40 seats in a 2-2 seating arrangement.
- Executive and VIP: Usually 24-32 seats in a 2-1 seating arrangement. The seats are spacious with plenty of leg room.
- Super VIP: Usually 21-24 seats per coach, seats are spacious with plenty of leg room. Some even served food and drinks by a stewardess on board, with personal audio and visual entertainment (blankets usually provided).

I find your site extremely helpful. I am considering to travel form Petaling Jaya to Singapore, return. The recommended express bus Aeroline and NiCE appeal to me. As I have a 10 month old infant with us, which bus services would you recommend and what are the fares for a child under 1 year old?
Thank You
I am a regular traveler from PEN to KL/S’pore almost every fortnightly on biz cum pleasure and stay in KL/S’pore with my children. As a senior citizen, I usually preferred either PLUSLINER or TRANSNATIONAL services as the Coach drivers/Captains placed passengers’ interest and safety first such as stopping for us to answer natures call and helping us coming up and going down the bus. SYABUS to both these express coaches services!
