wow, just curious if Atlantis was comparing it to 3rd world countries vs developing ones. We have excellent neighbors to benchmark against and we r definitely not one of the most efficient!
Sorry understand all are entitled to offer their opinions n perceptions but am really baffled at that comment.
What I have to salute is to the very patient n tolerant behaviors of the passengers!

honestly I don't know if anyone reads these mails. I have been a user for at least past 5 yrs n I have to say the service has improved drastically BUT don't sit ON YR laurels n think u have done well. Basic necessity like public transportation should be constantly upgraded! Yr service truly sucks using the quote from my fellow commentary above! We have gone about holy delay without any communication just it has been cancelled. Btw I am referring to klang-kl route as a personal reference. But it actually is the general view. Now u have improved with yr communication but there is more to be done.
This morning an announcement came through we can early hear what she is trying to hear until harap maaf, ....inconvenience...that is when I went to yr site.
The speaker seems to be from 2 sources at the subang station. When a male voice comes through it was very clear. No I am saying she has a softer voice. Sounds like one is from a pre recorded source n the other straight from the station.
Anyway more to improve long way to go in upgrading yr services n MOST importantly to EDUCATE service standards of staff.
I once told the attendant that a car light was left on n guess..what I was waiting for her to try to announce... Not surprised....not a sound.
Another time when touch n go lane not working, the mighty station master stood there showing a pompous face not bothering to tell us ahead, we had to queue n after long wait, discovered we have to switch!!
stop sitting in yr ivory towers n take train rides with us not on n off but enough to make u understand the plight of the rest of us.
Don't get me wrong I can well afford to drive but I chose convenience but at a price of course! A walk about on a regular but unannounced visit will make mgt n staff be alert - we the people of malaysia pays yr salary!

Damn fuck ktm!!! the serever is already slow, and now, even the whole computer system is down, what the hell are you guys doing actually?? Dont you know that frequent maintenance is so damn important?? Such sudden incident can cause life and death!!!! I have called thousand times to your call center and not even one person answer my call. Dont think that yu are so great coz you are the only railway station run through the whole Malaysia, you still need to keep it up in your services! If you dont even know this, please, go back to primary school! Re-study again, even I as a college student can be your manager for this kind of service! KTM SUCKS!!!!

We took the Ekspress Senandung Malam to Spore on the 10th Dec. in Coach J2-1A& B;
The TV was not functioning...it seems that it has been OOO for 2 months; The Hot Water was Brown in Colour either due to rust or dirt and not Warm; The Attendant a smart young chap served us Rice & Bihoon Goreng similar to what the 7-Eleven sells; and he had the audacity to say that he has to be paid RM5/- as his Serbis' Charge!?

The Transport Ministry has to improve the Services by converting the Metre Gauge to Broad Gauge to have broader coaches to provide more comfortable travel and at a faster pace....

The Intercity Trains can be more effective and transport more passengers if they are converted to the Broad Gauge system.

What I am thinking was about the shuttle train that shut off. It happened on Monday, Dec. 7th. I booked two tickets of RM42.00 from Sungai Buloh (No T0481467, Tren KLS-IPOH, S56, CMB) The schedule was 01.00pm from KL Central. The train should be at Sungai Buluh at 01,20/30pm, then the announcement, "We apologise for the delay, the train is still in Kl..blaa...blaa...blaaa. We had to wait untill 02,45pm. The KTM staff had no comment when asked. We knew what had happened, the brake was under repair.
At 02.45pm, departured from Sungai Buluh. All passengers were happy, although they had waited nearly two hours. After Tanjung Malim, the train began to produced horible sound on the tracks and stop dead at Sungkai. Again the useless brake trouble. We had to wait untill 05.45pm for the train from Singapore to collect us to Ipoh. Just imagine, no seats, we to stand in the coach untill Ipoh where we reached at 07.30pm. I am 66 years old and there were others olds, women and children. TAKE NOTE: IF THE TRAIN IS UNDER REPAIR DONT USE IT!!! TODAY THE BRAKE BROKE DOWN, WHO KNOWS THE TRAIN WILL TORN OFF NEXT TIME!!!.....I feel sad for the 'shuttle that shut off' but the management not even look or say something to the unlucky passengers.

After checking KTM's attractive first class cabins on the net, my wife and her friend booked a cabin to Penang. But they were disappointed. There was no attached bathroom.

There is no proper signboard at KL Sentral.

On my first experience from KL Sentral to Ipoh@5.30am, I have to ask around for the platform to depart.

I can only rely on what the Bangladeshi workers said!!!! And they are better than KL Sentral services!!!

When I was in the train there was no single soul ...at least there is a staff to lead passengers to their seats right??

And what I'm proud about KTM was it departed sharp at 5.30am....leading me back home to Ipoh, Insyaallah...cos nobody knows where the train is heading to!! No announcements at all, no help from officers on duty...Bangladeshi is better!!

Hi, I would like to travel from Singapore to KL, Malaysia on the 18th or 19th September 2009, returning to Singapore on 21st September 2009.
I will be travelling alone and would prefer to travel on the sleeper train. Could you please inform me of the following details:
1) How do I book my train tickets? Is it possible to do it online?
2) At what time should I arrive at Sg Keppel Road station for boarding? Is it possible to purchase train tickets at the railway station on the same day of travel?
3) What is the travel fare for a overnight sleeper journey?

Your earliest attention in this regard is highly appreciated,

Please send clarifications to my E-mail.

Thank you and kind regards,
Nupur
