Coliseum Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Established in 1921, Coliseum Cafe & Hotel is one of the oldest in Malaysia. The old furniture & decoration, preserved from when it was first opened, when that time is the finest cafe & hotel in Malaysia.
With its famous old planters café and bar downstairs, the Coliseum has a potent sense of colonial history. Rooms are huge and quiet, albeit without bathrooms (some rooms have sinks), and come with ancient switches, tables and chairs, high ceilings and wardrobes. This atmospheric hotel is a KL institution; it’s often full.
Some of the staff in this hotel, worked here their whole lives. I can tell you this place is full of culture. The Coliseum a rare case in Kuala Lumpur, where a beautiful and beloved iconic building is still being maintained and used as it always was.

I frequented the Coliseum Hotel way before I was even a teen. On my recent visits to KL, its location away from the tube/train stations, choking traffic and dismal lack of available carpark lots, had made it progressively difficult to patronise the hotel or its cafe.
Perhaps there are buses that ply along Jln Tuanku Abd Rahman that stop near the Coliseum?
Info on the appropriate bus service(s) shall be most appreciated.
Many Tks.
