Austin Hills Golf

Austin Hills Country Club
One cannot help but to notice the huge white imposing building sitting on top of Austin hill; this is the club house of Austin Hills Country Club which provides a panoramic view of Austin Hills golf course. There are two 18 holes courses, namely the Austin Course and the Hills Course.

All the tee boxes are elevated and there are quite a few holes which one has to drive across intimidating ravines to arrive on the fairways proper. Wayward shots can be excruciatingly painful through loss of strokes. Be mentally prepared and good course management is essential on this course.

By designing ‘around’ the land, the two courses, Austin and Hills have been crafted to look and feel as if they have been around for centuries.

However after the floods in December 2006, the Austin and Hills Course have been reconfigured to provide 27 holes (3 Nines) of challenging golf for the tour golfer and not too much of a toil for the novice.

Austin Nine: Austin course features tropical flowering plants, hence giving it a garden image.

Resort Nine: Incorporating seven holes from the 2nd Nine of the Austin Course and two holes from the 1st Nine of the Hills Course, this combination makes it the most challenging among the three Nines.

Hills Nine: Hills Course is designed with a desert theme, and is dotted by cactus and large sand bunkers.
